    After a spate of defeats, the Pelhams put a dent in Diamonds Premier Division Championship ambitions with a surprise 5-4 victory, they also notched a treble of 180′s through Neil Smith, Carl Grimmett, and Gary Newman, with last weeks hero Dan Grimmett shooting a 116 finish, while Diamonds only notable effort was a 106 checkout from the inform Paul Trivass.

     Another player in good form was the Charcoal Burner’s Kevin Reilly [pictured],  he hit a maximum, then followed that up with a great 156 checkout, to help keep the Burner top after their 7-2 beating of bottom side Three Bridges A,  two more big finishes were also struck, Burners Richard Stanford hit a 110, while Jim Brooker had a 119 for Bridges.     Ant Morley posted his third 180 of the season, to help RS Bumbles sting  Longley C 5-4…

     Ron Elms shot a fine 111 finish to help the Rebels stay in the pole position in the A Division, with a 8-1 thumping of the Emerald Rebels . Second placed Guns & Roses beat Bridges 6-3, while the Conservative Club suffered there third consequitive defeat when going down 6-3 to the in form Labour Blasters.    At the Labour Club, Dingles scrapped home 5-4 against APV…

    Pease Pottage Captain Jamie Brown banged in a 180, which spurred on his team mates to whitewash the Wizard and Witches 9-0, a win that extends their lead at the top of the B Division.   The Centaur Club, and the Blocbusters are both battling it out for the runner up spot after recording big victories, the Centaur Club beat the Imperial 8-1, while the Blocbusters beat BBC 9-0.     Paymasters touched down, with a good 6-3 win over the Rugby Club…

     Sussex B player Dan Grimmett took the player of the week award for his hat trick of 180′s for the Pelhams, but alass his great effort couldn’t spur on his side, as they crashed 8-1 to the Premier Division leaders Charcoal Burner, for whom Lee Gladman posted a maximum, while Grimmett’s team mate Dan Bradford also hit the magic 180.       Phil Smith & Paul Trivass both notched maximums during Diamonds 7-2 beating of RS Bumbles, while Tony Arnold responded with one for the Bee’s, and Simon Gurr hit a fine 119 outshot.   Best win of the week came for the Con Club A, who powered home 9-0 against Longley C,  Alex Whiteside grabbed another 180 for the Blues, with team mate Mick Clarke striking a 121 checkout.

     Rebels Dave Parker shot a maximum to help send his side top of the A Division following their 8-1 thumping of the Conservative Club, while the previous leaders Guns & Roses  slumped to a 5-4 defeat by the Labour Blasters, the Rosres Dave Mills posted a 110 checkout all to no avail.  Tommy Walker was on target for Bridges with a 118 finish, to help his side to a 6-3 victory, but the Emerald Rebels losing run continues with a 5-4 defeat by the Dingles…

     Pease Pottage struggled to a 5-4 win over the Paymasters, but stay top,  as the Centaur Club were beaten 7-2 by the fast rising Blocbusters.   BBC’s Ian Moorey shot a 180, but couldn’t stop his side from a 7-2 beating at the Rugby Club.    The Imperial grabbed a much needed victory when inflicting a 6-3 defeat on the Wizard & Witches..

     Big wins this week in the Premier Division for the top three sides…     Leaders Charcoal Burner turned over RS Bumbles 7-2, with Ron Clarke hitting a fine 121 finish, although a consolation 180 from Mike Morley proved scant consolation..     Diamonds hit eight against Longley C  for a 8-1 victory as they close in on the Burner at the top, Mick Scudder shot a maximum for the defeated builders…     Alex Whiteside [pictured] also bagged a 180 during his sides 8-1 thumping of Three Bridges, a win that moves the Blues up to third place., ahead of the Pelhams who had a bye…

    In the B Division, Guns & Roses stay ahead of the Rebels, after both sides picked up big victories.   Leaders Guns & Roses beat the Conservative Club in an high scoring game 7-2, Mark Harwood & Ash Comper, both struck 180′s for the Roses, Harwood also had a big 148 finish, while Eric Spencer responded with a maximum for the Conservative Club.    Rebels battered the Dingles 8-1, with Malcom Bradford knocking in a maximum, but best win of the week came for the Labour Blasters who whitewashed APV 9-0.  Bridges move out of the bottom two, following their 7-2 win over the Emerald Rebels..

    Both the Centaur Club, and the Blocbusters posted 9-0 wins to move closer to the Pease Pottage FC who remain top of the B Division.   Centaur Club helped by Richard Allen’s 180, and 101 checkout beat BBC, while the Blocbusters overpowered the Wizard & Witches.    Leaders Pease Pottage scrapped a 5-4 win over the Rugby Club, helped by D.Brooker’s 106 finish, finally the Paymasters beat the Imperial in Broadfield 7-2…

    The League resumed, after the festive break, but Leaders and unbeaten Diamonds of the Premier Division found it tough going, while in the A Division, 180′s were in abundance, and Pease Pottage gave no christmas fare to BBC in the B Division..

    Diamonds went into Christmas leaders of the Premier Division, and unbeaten, but that all changed at the Charcoal Burner, as the hosts ran out 5-4 winners, Burners Lee Gladman hit a maximum, while Paul Trivass struck a fine 119 finish as scant consolation for the Diamonds..    Third placed Pelhams crashed 6-3 to the Con Club A, this, despite Pelhams Pete Crossley hitting his second 180 of the sesaon.    Former PDC star Dave Askew playing for the Blues banged in a 121 checkout, which spurred on his side.     In a low scoring encounter, Three Bridges A, beat Longley C 6-3 to move within 3pts of their rivals at the bottom of the table..

    Kez Botting [pictured] & Bill Boyd both shot maximums for the Conservative Club, as they kept up the pressure on the front runners in the A Division by beating APV comfortably 6-3.     Leaders Guns & Roses, beat second placed Rebels 6-3,  thus ending the Rebels great unbeaten run.  Ty Coward was in superb form for Labour Blasters, hitting a 180, and a 123 finish in helping the Reds defeat bottom side Emerald Rebels 8-1.    Lee Nichols was also on target with a maximum, to see his side Bridges over the winning line against the Dingles 5-4…

    Pease Pottage still continue to dominate the B Division, this week they tonked BBC 8-1,  to move clear of the chasing pack, BBC’s Ian Moorey hit a consolation 180 for his side.    The Centaur Club stay in second, following their 7-2 win over bottom side Wizard & Witches.    The Rugby Club also had a 7-2 win, when beating the Imperial, while the Blocbusters kept up their good run by beating the Paymasters 5-4

Week 7: 9th December 2011

 

 

 

         Tommy Lewis

      Premier Division leaders Diamonds found it tough going when facing the Con Club A side at Three Bridges FC.    Diamond’s Phil Smith continued his early season good form with his third maximum, and along with Paul Trivass’s 103 finish just edged out the Blues 5-4,  veteran Tommy Lewis [pictured] turned back the clock by hitting his first 180 of the campaign, as some consolation for his sides brave effort..

     The Charcoal Burner drop back into second spot following their bye, while Pelhams stay third after seeing off Longley C 8-1, Neil Smith’s 110 checkout being the sole highlite..    RS Bumbles made it  back to back victories, when defeating the bottom side Three Bridges A 7-2 to move clear  of the bottom two.   Andy Gurr and Tony Arnold both notched maximums, while Mike Morley struck a 116 finish, all for the Bee’s…

     The Rebels continue to dominate the A Division, with their sixth straight win, when defeating APV 6-3,  while a 108 finish from Guns & Roses Chris Goodband helped his side whitewash Emerald Rebels 9-0, to close the gap between them and the Rebels at the top…

     Glenn Relph hit a 180, and Mick Dixon struck a 100 checkout, to help the Conservative Club stay third in the table , after thrashing the Dingles 8-1, Mike Kramers 125 shot out proving only scant consolation for the Dingles..  Labour Blasters beat Bridges 7-2 to remain fourth, with Lee Nichols 122, and Mal Terry’s 109 finishes for Bridges not enough to save them from a heavy defeat..

    Pease Pottage FC,  lost their unbeaten record in the B Division, when narrowly going down 5-4 to the Blocbusters, for whom veteran Stan Oram banged home a great 145 finish.  That defeat enabled the Centaur Club to close the gap on them following their 7-2 victory over the Rugby Club.   The Imperial edged out BBC 5-4,  while the Paymasters overcame the Wizard & Witches  6-3 in the final match….

Week 4: 11th Nov

 

 

 

       Phil Smith

    Diamonds Phil Smith [pictured], certainly took the player of the week award, as his maximum, and 160 [seasons best] finish helped his side crush RS Bumbles 9-0 and get his side to within 1pt of the Premier Division leaders..    Further 180′s from Colin Whiley and a second of the season from Paul Trivass took the sting out of the Bee’s, who now find themselves rooted at the bottom after the opening four weeks…

    Pelhams made it three straight wins, following their comfortable 7-2 victory over the reigning Champions Charcoal Burner, a win that moves them to the top of the table.      Con Club A  beat Longley C 6-3 to hold onto third spot, although John Usher did hit a consolation 112 finish for Longley’s.

     Rebels last years B Division Champions made it four successive wins in the A Division, when beating  the previous leaders Conservative Club 6-3, Kez Botting’s 112 finish proved too be not enough.    Level on points with the Rebels, but have a lesser win record are the Dingles, after they beat bottom side Emerald Rebels 7-2..

      The Conservative Club’s defeat drops them down to fourth, while Labour Blasters stay in third, despite going down to the Guns & Roses 5-4, while APV finally got a win when beating Bridges, again narrowly 5-4..

       Pease Pottage FC have opened up a 2pt gap at the top of the B Division following their 8-1 thumping of  the previously unbeaten Paymasters.  Another new side Centaur Club lie second after beating the Blocbusters 6-3…     BBC  endured their fourth successive 7-2 scoreline, but this time ended up on the losing side, going down to the Rugby Club..  Bottom side Wizard & Witches suffered a fourth straight defeat, when going down 6-3 at the Imperial…

Week 3: 4th Nov

 

 

      Paul Trivass

 

 

          The Charcoal Burner took advantage of the Pelhams bye, to move above them to go top of the Premier Division, when beating RS Bumbles 6-3, the Bee’s provided all the highlites, the 180′s from Ant Morley & Tony Arnold, and a 134 finish by Andy Gurr were all in vain..

         Diamonds were in sparkling form as they overturned Longley C 7-2,  Paul Trivass [pictured] hit a maximum, as did Steve Mecrow, who also hit a 112 finish, while Graham Martin’s 180 was just consolation…    The Con Club A beat Three Bridges A 6-3, to remain in a top three position..

         Despite losing to the Guns & Roses, the A Division leaders Conservative Club stay top, but the gap between them and second placed Labour Blasters is down to just 2pts..       Paul Comper & Chris Goodband struck maximums for the Roses, with Eric Spencer & Tom Gray replying for the Blues..    Blasters inflicted a 6-3 defeat on the struggling APV, while the Rebels 5-4 win over the Dingles was their third successive win..   Bridges heaped more misery on bottom side Emerald Rebels, by beating the Southgate side 5-4, Jay Terry hit a 118 finish for Bridges, while Mal Richardson posted a 106 for the Rebels..

       Pease Pottage FC head the B Division after recording their third win, when ending the Rugby Clubs unbeaten start, winning 6-3, while the Centaur Club are level with the Pease Pottage side on points at the top following their7-2 win over BBC.   Paul Smith hit a 180 for the Langley Green outfit in celebration..

       Blocbusters whipped the Wizard & Witches 8-1 to move out of the bottom two, while the Paymasters good start to the season continues with victory over the Imperial….
