The League resumed, after the festive break, but Leaders and unbeaten Diamonds of the Premier Division found it tough going, while in the A Division, 180′s were in abundance, and Pease Pottage gave no christmas fare to BBC in the B Division..
Diamonds went into Christmas leaders of the Premier Division, and unbeaten, but that all changed at the Charcoal Burner, as the hosts ran out 5-4 winners, Burners Lee Gladman hit a maximum, while Paul Trivass struck a fine 119 finish as scant consolation for the Diamonds.. Third placed Pelhams crashed 6-3 to the Con Club A, this, despite Pelhams Pete Crossley hitting his second 180 of the sesaon. Former PDC star Dave Askew playing for the Blues banged in a 121 checkout, which spurred on his side. In a low scoring encounter, Three Bridges A, beat Longley C 6-3 to move within 3pts of their rivals at the bottom of the table..
Kez Botting [pictured] & Bill Boyd both shot maximums for the Conservative Club, as they kept up the pressure on the front runners in the A Division by beating APV comfortably 6-3. Leaders Guns & Roses, beat second placed Rebels 6-3, thus ending the Rebels great unbeaten run. Ty Coward was in superb form for Labour Blasters, hitting a 180, and a 123 finish in helping the Reds defeat bottom side Emerald Rebels 8-1. Lee Nichols was also on target with a maximum, to see his side Bridges over the winning line against the Dingles 5-4…
Pease Pottage still continue to dominate the B Division, this week they tonked BBC 8-1, to move clear of the chasing pack, BBC’s Ian Moorey hit a consolation 180 for his side. The Centaur Club stay in second, following their 7-2 win over bottom side Wizard & Witches. The Rugby Club also had a 7-2 win, when beating the Imperial, while the Blocbusters kept up their good run by beating the Paymasters 5-4
